Solange Goldsworthy

Project Manager

Raised in the Juan Fernández Archipelago. Granddaughter of an artisanal fisherman from the islands of the Juan Fernández Archipelago and a bird-loving father, the themes of care and respect for nature were an important part of her upbringing, leading her to participate in volunteer work and workshops around conservation from an early age. She earned her profession in Architecture in mainland Chile and returned to Robinson Crusoe to work in the municipality of Juan Fernández on reconstruction issues after the 2010 tsunami that hit the islands. Since then, her career orientations have been leaning towards work in sustainable development inspired by the island ecosystem. In 2022, she comes to Island Conservation to work as a project manager for the Juan Fernández Archipelago and Desventuradas Islands, allowing her to display all her love for her islands, contributing to the care and conservation of their natural heritage.
