Kara Frisina
Development Officer Major Gifts
Kara Frisina is dedicated to building connections with donors to protect nature and wildlife. Before starting at Island Conservation in 2024, she was the Development Manager at a land trust, mobilizing millions of dollars from private and public funders to save and restore land in Western New York. Kara earned her master’s in Communication and Development from Ohio University’s International Studies program. She also received bachelor’s degrees in Communications and Spanish with a certificate in Latin American Studies. Living outside of Buffalo, NY, Kara enjoys hiking, cross-country skiing, climbing, canoeing, gardening, reading, and making pottery in her free time.
