Delia Kulukundis

Delia Kulukundis is a researcher, consensus-builder, and problem-solver devoted to preserving the natural environment. Delia brings over a decade of practice as a landscape architect, where she managed complex projects with multiple stakeholders ranging from private landowners to municipal government agencies. Delia is experienced in analyzing cultural and environmental history of sites in order to develop design and land-use recommendations that preserve biodiversity and inspire human connection to nature for lasting stewardship. As a trustee of the Milkweed Foundation, Delia directs grantmaking for conservation and climate change mitigation, and is an enthusiastic champion of organizations that both solve a widespread problem in a scalable way and engage meaningfully with local communities to improve human well-being.

Delia is active in the climate movement in New York, where she focuses on decarbonization of the building and electricity sectors. She was active in the successful campaign to ban fossil fuels from new buildings in New York statewide, making New York the first US state to do so.

Delia earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science from Swarthmore College, and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia.
