BBC interview emphasizes the link between climate change and invasive species

The BBC recently conducted an interview with Richard Griffiths, our Head of Operations in the South and West Pacific. The topic? How removing invasive species from islands can help mitigate the drastic and inevitable effects of climate change. Nine months ago, Tonga’s vulnerability in the face of climate change was underscored after a tsunami caused significant destruction.

Spurred on by the need for action, the government of Tonga has increased their investment in invasive species removals, and Island Conservation is heavily involved in supporting local efforts to protect the islands and their communities.
